AFF Formation
Learn to skydive
To learn to jump, Swissboogie offers skydiving training using the AFF method (Accelerated Free Fall). To make your first debut in the world of skydiving, a first theoretical instruction of 3 to 4 hours is generally given at the end of an afternoon. Then the instruction extends over seven levels of progression and seven jumps assisted by free fall specialists. Learning how to fold the parachute is an integral part of the course.
Jump 1
During progression level 1, the parachutist candidate discovers free fall. He leaves the plane with his instructors at an altitude of 4000 meters. The student must complete the defined program. This consists of observing your axis, monitoring the altitude and remaining attentive to the orders of your instructors. He must also train 3 opening exercises. Using signs, the instructors order, if necessary, a correction of the candidate's position. From 1700 meters, the student does mini-observation cycles and at 1500 meters he opens his parachute himself, always under the supervision of the two instructors.
Jump 2
The student gets used to free falling during level 2. He is always held by his two instructors. In addition, parachute opening exercises are still practiced. His program consists of doing turns left and right. If the fall position is good, the instructor 2 lets go but nevertheless remains nearby.
Jump 3
During level 3, the candidate moves forward and backward. Then, if the latter ensures a good position, the two instructors release him. Of course, the instructors remain nearby. Finally, before the parachute opens at 1500 meters, the student does mini-observation cycles.
Jump 4
For jump 4, there is only one instructor left. The student is always held when exiting the plane and when the fall position is good, the instructor lets him go. During this jump, he does a backflip. He works up to 2000 meters altitude. Below it, he only runs mini observation cycles.
Jump 5
At level 5, the student performs left and right turns followed by an approach on the instructor to catch him. As at level 4, it stops its work at 2000 meters and continues its fall with mini-observation cycles up to the opening altitude.
Jump 6
At level 6, the candidate jumps from the plane without being held by the instructor. Once falling, he does a backflip, a barrel roll and moves forward.
Jump 7
At level 7, the student dives from the plane. Once stabilized, he performs a backflip, a frontflip, a left turn, a right turn and a drift. Level 7 concludes the individual instruction of the AFF formation.
